This manuscript presents the micro-economic foundation of a hospital's optimal resource allocation in addition to the foundation of a quantitative method to evaluate the performance of a hospital depending on pure economic definition of the efficiency. The manuscript is important for scholars and practitioners in the field of hospitals management economics because it provides simple micro-economic foundation to this subject.
